Children’s motorcycle training

Our 2 hour training sessions are tailored to the younger riders ages 4-12 (with own bikes) and 6-12 (with hire bikes).   The session is for 2 hours with one instructor to 6 riders.  We run 3 different ability level groups to ensure everyone gets the most out of the day.  Please take a look at the ability level criteria before booking onto a session.

Ability Levels for Children’s Training

Level 0: Absolute Beginners: Suitable for complete beginners with no prior experience. (Must be able to ride a push bike). This session will start from scratch with the basics of bike control as an introduction to trials riding.

Level 1: Absolute Beginners: Suitable for those who are just starting their trials journey – suited to riders who have had a go on a bike before and can ride but with assistance (eg, with someone holding onto the bike or the rider is sitting down). This session will start from scratch with the basics of bike control as an introduction to trials riding.

Level 2: Beginners: Suitable for those who are just starting their trials journey (riding the white route at trials), riders who have ridden a trials bike before unaided and must be able to stand up on the pegs.

Level 3: Intermediate: Suitable for riders who are competent with bike controls and can ride unaided with their feet on the pegs, able to confidently navigate the sections and those who are riding the yellow route at trials. This session will build on the basics and challenge the rider as their skill set develops.

Damage waiver

For all hired bikes, if a bike gets broken due to accident it is the rider’s responsibility to pay for the replacement parts. This can be purchased in the shop when you sign on to your experience if required. For children’s Oset bikes, the damage waiver is a reduced cost of just £15.
