TEENAGER EXPERIENCE DAYS

For ages 12-16

If you have a bike enthusiast in the making then our teenager sessions are the ideal opportunity for budding riders to learn in a safe environment.

TEENAGER TRAINING SESSIONS - SUITABLE FOR AGES 12-16

Please check the LEVEL against each date before booking.  If you can’t see a date you would like to book, please use the drop-down menu at the top of the page and have a look through the Experience Days which are suitable for ages 12+

Use our handy level guide below to book onto the most suitable session.

Level 0: Absolute Beginners: Suitable for complete beginners with no prior experience.  (Must be able to ride a push bike).  This session will start from scratch with the basics of bike control as an introduction to trials riding.

Level 1: Absolute Beginners: Suitable for those who are just starting their trials journey – suited to riders who have had a go on a bike before and can ride but with assistance (eg, with someone holding onto the bike or the rider is sitting down).  This session will start from scratch with the basics of bike control as an introduction to trials riding.

Level 2: Beginners: Suitable for those who are just starting their trials journey (riding the white route at trials), riders who have ridden a trials bike before unaided and must be able to stand up on the pegs.

Level 3: Intermediate: Suitable for riders who are competent with bike controls and can ride unaided with their feet on the pegs, able to confidently navigate the sections and those who are riding the yellow route at trials.  This session will build on the basics and challenge the rider as their skill set develops.

Level 4: Advanced: Suitable for experienced riders who are competing and riding the red route at trials.  This session will challenge the rider and they will need the experience, knowledge and confidence to position themselves effectively on the bike to navigate over, round or through challenges.  This session is best taught as a private training session when the training can be tailored to the rider.

What to expect…

We typically run the teenagers training as full day s in small groups of 6 riders per instructor. On arrival, you’ll sign on and get kitted up before watching a short safety brief video. You’ll then meet your instructor and be assigned a bike for the day… then the fun begins! Head out into the fields to start your training – training starts off on flattish ground where your instructor will teach you the very basics of bike control and get you comfortable on the bike before gradually progressing onto ‘sections’. Sections are essentially obstacles which your instructor will mark out using coloured flags. As the day progresses, so will your skills! Each day is tailored dynamically to the ability of the group.  You’ll ride for 2 hours in the morning, stop for lunch then head back out for 2 hours in the afternoon.

The bikes…

For the smaller riders we have a range of electric OSET 24.0R bikes which are the perfect, safe beginners bike since they have fully adjustable (with parent lock) controls for speed, power and response.

For the taller riders we have a choice of 2 full sized electric bikes – one has a clutch the same as a petrol bike and the other has a PRB (Progressive Regenerative Brake) which is best suited to those with a mountain biking background. Beginners will usually start on electric bikes unless you have ridden a motorcycle off-road with a clutch before – you will then have a choice of electric or petrol bike

Children’s 2hr Experience

My 7yr old had a great time on the Beginner 2 hrs experience. His instructor (DJ) was superb and all the children progressed really quickly. Facilities were excellent and the views were beautiful. We will definitely be back.

Great trials biking beginners session

Our 7 year old son went on the two hour beginners experience on Saturday and he absolutely loved it. The instructor was excellent at building the kids confidence and skills in the wet muddy conditions. Will definitely be going back!

Highly recommended

What a fantastic place, my 2 boys really enjoyed the beginners class. All the staff were lovely and helpful and a special mention for Nigel who was running the session. He was so patient with my son and really encouraged them all on the bikes. The whole place is a brilliant set up and we will definitely be booking to go again.

Just brilliant

My 9 year old has got to the stage where he just wants to be on his Xbox and everything else is ‘Meh’. Until he had a day at Inch perfect with Nigel. We took him and his 5 year old sister for a training day and they absolutely loved it. Nigel was brilliant with the kids and the improvement over the day was amazing to watch. Highly recommend to anyone at any level of trials (my husband also enjoyed a ‘pay and play’ day on his own bike). We are already looking for dates to go back. I only wish we lived closer!

Beginners sessions

Cannot recommend these guys enough. A two hour beginners session for kids. My three grandchildren enjoyed it so much. Instructor Simon (DJ) was so good with them. Granddaughter was very nervous but Simon got her going and was so patient. Two boys were more confident but were kept safe in line and keep asking to go again.
